Regarding the ideal season, the dry period from November to April is often considered the recommended season for cenote diving.

The weather is pleasant, rainfall is rare, and underwater visibility is optimal.

However, summer reveals another side of the cenote. The heat and humidity, combined with regular rain, promote the decomposition of fallen leaves in open cenotes like Casa Cenote.

This creates a thin acidic film on the surface rich in tannins which transforms the appearance of the water.

Under the effect of the sun this layer about 1m thick takes on spectacular shades tones of yellow orange and green blend on the surface of the clear water. A surprising visual phenomenon that changes throughout the day and makes each dive unique.
